Re. shading I find it really helpful to lay a ground of graphite across the whole page first, then I start drawing and then I erase to get highlights (squinting so I see the negative spaces/shapes) and darken the darks... Somehow I find that easier than starting with a white sheet and trying to get all the values from that. I hope that is helpful. Think about things like where are the prominent features/bones. ie: the flare of the nostrils and the jawbone perhaps would be catching some light. I read a good book on seeing the face as made up of planes if I come across it in the library again I'll give you the name. You're doing so well that I'm quite sure you'll get there just by doing. Have fun and hope I haven't offended, keep in mind that I know nothing but hope we can grow together in this group.seesuehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11640637143653266001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15145682.post-1152640961354452202006-07-11T14:02:00.000-04:002006-07-11T14:02:00.000-04:00These are coming along so NICELY!!!
